SASKATCHEWAN ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM GUIDELINES & APPLICATION
The Saskatchewan Association of Broadcasters (SAB) Scholarship Program is intended to support students pursuing education and future employment in broadcasting, audio, media, or related communications fields. The scholarship reflects the SAB’s commitment to encouraging and supporting the next generation of Saskatchewan broadcasters and media professionals.
Scholarship Value: $1,500 per successful applicant
Number of Scholarships will be determined annually by the Saskatchewan Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors. Scholarship funds may be issued directly to the student or educational institution.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
• Be a resident of Saskatchewan
• Be a graduating high school student or recent high school graduate
• Be accepted into, enrolled in, or planning to enroll in a recognized post-secondary program related to broadcasting, audio production, journalism, media, communications, content creation, or a related field
• Demonstrate an interest in pursuing future employment in the broadcast, audio, or media industry
• Complete and submit the official scholarship application form
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must submit:
• Completed scholarship application form
• Brief written statement outlining their interest in broadcasting/media and future career goals
• Proof of acceptance, enrollment, or application to a post-secondary institution or program
• Optional supporting materials, including:
– Resume
– Reference letter
– Portfolio or samples of work
– Volunteer or extracurricular involvement
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Applications must be received by June 15th of each year for September programs. Late applications will be considered but are not guaranteed.

SELECTION PROCESS
Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Saskatchewan Association of Broadcasters Board of Directors.
Selection may consider:
• Interest in broadcasting/media
• Career goals
• Community or extracurricular involvement
• Relevant experience or initiative
• Overall application quality
GENERAL CONDITIONS
• The Saskatchewan Association of Broadcasters reserves the right not to award a scholarship in any given year.
• Scholarships must be used for educational purposes.
• Applicants may be asked to provide additional information or verification.
• By applying, applicants consent to the SAB using their name, photo, and general scholarship information for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
